Xiaomi has introduced a new version of its Watch S4, known as the Xiaomi Watch S4 “15th Anniversary Edition”, featuring the custom Xring T1 chipset with a built-in 4G modem. This marks Xiaomi's venture into developing its own modem technology, promising increased efficiency and improved battery life for the smartwatch.
The Xring T1 chip offers enhancements such as 35% more efficiency compared to the previous S4 model, enabling the new Watch S4 to last up to 9 days with network connectivity and up to 4 days with heavy usage. The addition of the 4G modem allows for extended capabilities, including remote camera control with live feed display and support for animated wallpaper.
In addition to its technological advancements, the Xiaomi Watch S4 15th Anniversary Edition features a stainless steel body, forged carbon bezel, Dragon Glass lens, and a 1.43” display with 1,500 nits peak brightness. The smartwatch also offers functionalities such as remotely unlocking Xiaomi cars and controlling trunk access.
With this new release, Xiaomi continues to innovate in the wearables market and expand its presence in the technology industry.
