Google has recently unveiled the latest version of Wear OS, Wear OS 6, at the I/O conference. The first Developer Preview is now available for developers, showcasing new features and improvements. One of the key highlights of Wear OS 6 is a 10% increase in battery life compared to its predecessor, Wear OS 5, thanks to platform optimizations.

Material 3 Expressive design has been integrated into Wear OS 6, offering dynamic color theming and enhanced visual consistency in the Tiles carousel. The design is optimized for round displays, with a new 3-slot tile layout for improved usability. Navigation through lists is smoother, and media controls have been enhanced for better user experience.

Watch faces in Wear OS 6 will support customizable photos selected by users, providing a personal touch to the device. The new version is set to be released later this year, although a specific date has not been announced yet.
