Xiaomi 15S Pro and Xring O1 Chip Achieve Impressive AnTuTu Test Results

When it comes to performance rankings on AnTuTu, the top Snapdragon 8 Elite phones typically score just above 2.5 million. However, some devices fall below this mark, such as the Galaxy S25 Ultra and OnePlus 13, which score around 2.2 million. Additionally, Dimensity 9400 phones are also in the mix but generally score below 2.5 million.

A recent AnTuTu test shared by Weibo poster Xiaomi Technology showcased the impressive performance of Xiaomi's self-developed Xring O1 chipset. In the test, the Xiaomi 15S Pro with the Xring O1 chip achieved a score of exactly 2.5 million, matching the performance of the Xiaomi 15 Pro with Snapdragon 8 Elite.

The Xring O1 chip comes in different versions, with the Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra featuring a variant with lower clock speeds. Despite this, the Xring O1 chip on the Xiaomi 15S Pro proved its capabilities with the top two cores running at 3.9GHz. It's important to note that while AnTuTu tests primarily focus on chipset performance, other factors can also influence the final score. The Xiaomi 15S Pro unit used in the test had more RAM (16GB + 6GB virtual) compared to the 15 Pro unit (12GB + 4GB virtual).

This achievement by Xiaomi's in-house chip design team marks a significant milestone, especially since their last chip design, the Surge S1, was introduced a while back. Despite this success, Xiaomi's partnership with Qualcomm remains strong, as evidenced by their recent agreement to continue collaborating on premium devices including phones, tablets, wearables, smart home products, and XR glasses. Furthermore, Xiaomi is set to be among the first adopters of Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 8-series chip.
