In a recent report, it has been rumored that Samsung's Exynos 2500 AP will be powering the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 7 in various markets, including South Korea and India. This marks a departure from previous models of the Fold and Flip series, which have typically featured Snapdragon chipsets. The Exynos 2500 AP, with a model number of S5E9955, is expected to offer top-notch performance and efficiency for the Galaxy Z Flip 7.
The Exynos 2500 AP is built on Samsung Foundry's second generation 3nm process node and boasts a decacore configuration with 10 CPU cores. It is said to feature a Cortex X-925 CPU Prime Core, along with various Cortex A CPU cores for premium efficiency and performance. Additionally, the Exynos 2500 will include the Xclipse 950 GPU, based on AMD's RDNA 3.5 architecture, for enhanced graphics performance.
Reports also suggest a potential increase in battery capacity for the Galaxy Z Flip 7, with a 7.5% hike to 4300mAh. This comes as Samsung faces competition from other foldable devices, such as the Motorola Razr Ultra, which is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite AP and a 4700mAh battery.
