Samsung Galaxy A15 and A16 Receive One UI 7 Update

Source: Date:

The latest One UI 7 update has been rolled out to the Samsung Galaxy A15 and Galaxy A16, bringing exciting new features and improvements to these entry-level smartphones. This update marks the first major OS update for both devices, which originally launched with Android 14/One UI 6.1. The Galaxy A15 will receive three more OS updates, while the Galaxy A16 is set to receive a total of five updates. Both smartphones are powered by the Helio G99 chipset.

While the 4G models of the Galaxy A15 and A16 are currently receiving the update, the 5G variants are expected to follow suit shortly. The Galaxy A15 5G and A16 5G also launched with Android 14 and will receive four and six OS updates, respectively. These models are equipped with newer chipsets, including the Dimensity 6100+ for the A15 5G and Dimensity 6300/Exynos 1330 for the A16 5G.

It is worth noting that the update rollout may vary by region, as updates are typically rolled out gradually to address any potential issues. The official roadmap had initially slated the Galaxy A15 update for June and the Galaxy A16 update for May, so the current rollout is ahead of schedule. The roadmap did not differentiate between the 4G and 5G models, suggesting simultaneous updates for both variants.

Stay tuned for more updates as the One UI 7 update continues to make its way to Samsung Galaxy A series devices.
