Recently, there have been talks about the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset making its debut earlier compared to its predecessor. Speculations suggest that the first devices powered by this chipset will be launched in late September.
During the Computex presentation, Qualcomm officially announced that the next Snapdragon Summit is scheduled from September 23 to September 25. This annual event is where the company introduces its latest Snapdragon chip, confirming the earlier release of the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2.
With this accelerated timeline, it is anticipated that Chinese flagship smartphones utilizing the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 will be unveiled between late September and early October for the domestic market. The global launches of these devices may also occur sooner than expected.
Samsung, on the other hand, faces a challenge as it is rumored to reveal its next-generation foldable smartphones in early July, just three months before the enhanced chipset becomes available.
