Samsung has introduced a new feature with its Galaxy S25 Edge series, allowing users to record Log videos with the selfie camera. The Log mode was initially available for rear cameras only but has now been extended to the front camera as well. With the upcoming One UI 8 update, older models such as the Galaxy S24 series are expected to receive this feature too.
Log videos require color correction before being shared or viewed, and users can choose to do this manually or use the Gallery app's automatic editing suggestions. The addition of Log mode for the selfie camera brings more creative possibilities for users, including exposure monitoring tools like False Color and Zebra Pattern.
Early screenshots shared by @DevOfIpos show the new feature in action on the Galaxy S25 Edge, set to be released later this month. The update is expected to roll out to other Galaxy S25 models as well, potentially as early as next month. The feature is also slated to be included in the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 models with the One UI 8 update.
