Google has finally confirmed the release date for Android 16, stating that the new version of the ecosystem will be arriving next month. According to reports from Droid-Life, Android 16 is expected to be available for Samsung and other devices sometime this summer. It is anticipated that Samsung's phones will receive the update after Google's Pixel phones in June, with a potential release alongside the new Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7.
Samsung has already begun testing One UI 8, fueling speculation that the release of Android 16 in July or August aligns with the development cycle. Google will first release Android 16 for Pixel devices on June 3, with a subsequent rollout to other eligible devices following soon after. Beta testers can already access Android 16 beta 4.1, which addresses critical issues identified during testing.
