Apple has announced that the launch of iOS 19 later this year will bring major changes to the Home app, requiring users to update their systems for compatibility. The current version of the Home app backend will no longer be supported, with the company ending its support for the previous architecture in fall 2025. Early adopters faced pairing errors with iOS 16.2, prompting Apple to refine the code and re-release it in iOS 16.4. Failure to update the system may result in accessories disappearing from the app after a reboot with the new software.
