A recent report from The Wall Street Journal indicates that Apple is contemplating a potential price increase for the iPhone 17 series. This decision is still under consideration and is said to be unrelated to the tariffs on Chinese imports imposed by the US.
Despite the temporary suspension of reciprocal tariffs between the US and China, Chinese products entering the US are subject to a combined 30% tariff. However, Apple has clarified that the anticipated price hike for the upcoming iPhone 17 series is not directly linked to the ongoing trade tensions between the two countries.

According to sources familiar with the matter, Apple intends to justify the potential price adjustment by highlighting the series' design enhancements, such as the ultra-thin and lightweight iPhone 17 Air, as well as new features. The 17 Pro models are anticipated to feature an updated camera module, aluminum frame, and reverse wireless charging capabilities.
Apple has been increasing its iPhone inventory in the US, with reports suggesting that all new iPhones sold in the country will now be sourced from India. Foxconn, a key Apple supplier, is reportedly planning to double its iPhone production in India this year to meet the rising demand, with estimates reaching up to 30 million units.
