Spotify has just announced a wave of new updates that aim to enhance user experience on its app. These updates are gradually being rolled out starting today, with Premium users receiving an upgraded Queue featuring a new, user-friendly design. This includes added controls for Shuffle, Smart Shuffle, Repeat, and Sleep Timer. Premium users will also now see song recommendations after their queued tracks end, and can easily turn Autoplay and Smart Shuffle off in Settings.
Other updates include an updated Hide button for removing tracks from playlists across all devices, as well as a Snooze feature that temporarily removes a song from recommendations for 30 days. Additionally, playlists now have easy access to Add, Sort, and Edit options at the top, and Liked Songs can be turned into playlists in select countries.
The mobile app now features a convenient "+" button for creating playlists, collaborating with friends, and joining Blends. In supported markets, Premium users can also enjoy real-time listening with friends through Jam and use AI Playlist to create playlists based on their creative ideas. Your Library has been moved to the third option at the bottom of the app for easier access.
