Microsoft raises prices for Xbox products globally

Source: Date:

Microsoft has recently announced a global price increase for all of its Xbox products, including consoles, controllers, accessories, and first-party games. The price hikes vary across different products, with the highest increases seen in the Xbox Series X consoles, controllers, and headsets.

In addition to the hardware, Microsoft is also raising the prices of some of its first-party titles, with the standard variants going from $70 to $80 starting this holiday season. However, the Game Pass service will remain unchanged, offering a wide selection of games at a fixed price.

The company attributes the price hikes to market conditions and the increasing cost of development. This move comes shortly after Nintendo also increased its prices for products and launched an $80 first-party title.

It remains to be seen how consumers will respond to these price increases and whether they will impact the overall sales of Xbox products globally.
