According to leaked information from Digital Chat Station, MediaTek is currently developing its flagship chipset for 2025, the Dimensity 9500. This new chipset is expected to feature significant improvements, including an all-big CPU core architecture and a more powerful NPU. It will be manufactured using TSMC's N3P node and is set to bring notable enhancements over its predecessors.
The Dimensity 9500 will reportedly include a CPU configuration of 1x Travis + 3x Alto + 4x Gelas. While the specifics of the Alto core are not clear, Travis and Gelas are said to be the next Cortex-X and Cortex-A7xx cores from ARM. The chipset will also boast 16MB of L3 cache, 10MB of system level cache, support for LPDDR5X RAM, and 4-lane UFS 4.1.
Graphics performance is expected to be powered by an Immortalis-Drage GPU with improved ray tracing capabilities and lower power consumption. Additionally, the AI processing capabilities of the Dimensity 9500 will be enhanced by the NPU 9.0, delivering an impressive 100 TOPS of performance.
While the release of the Dimensity 8450 is imminent, the Dimensity 9500 is likely to debut around October or November. Stay tuned for more updates on MediaTek's cutting-edge chipset.
