Motorola is creating a buzz ahead of the unveiling of its latest device, the Razr+ (2025), set to debut on April 24th. Anticipation is mounting as the company promises "the future of flip" in its promotional materials, hinting at exciting innovations that aim to elevate the flip phone experience. A recent video shared via Twitter showcases the device and indicates that it will be known as the Razr 60 Ultra in markets outside the U.S.
As the launch date approaches, leaked specifications reveal that the Razr+ (2025) will be powered by Qualcomm's flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite processor— the same chipset featured in the high-end Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. With an impressive potential configuration of 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage, this smartphone is geared to impress even the most demanding users. Its inaugural 7-inch internal LTPO AMOLED display will support a remarkable refresh rate of 165Hz while delivering a stunning brightness of up to 4,500 nits.
The device will also feature an external 4-inch LTPO AMOLED display, capable of refreshing at 165Hz and producing up to 3,000 nits of brightness. Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the camera systems, which include a 50MP main camera with f/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilization, a secondary 50MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, and yet another 50MP front-facing camera. Powering these features will be a robust 4,700mAh battery, with significant improvements from the previous model, boasting 68W wired and 30W wireless charging capabilities.
Running on Android 15 at launch, the Razr+ (2025) may feel slightly outdated by the time it arrives, as Android 16 is expected shortly after. In terms of size, the unfolded device will be 171.48 x 73.99 x 7.29mm and will compact down to 88.12 x 73.99 x 15.69mm when closed, weighing in at 199 grams. Connectivity will include options like Dual SIM, 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, GPS, and USB Type-C.
With these impressive specifications, the Razr+ (2025) is poised to be a formidable contender against the Galaxy Z Flip 7. If the rumors hold true, Motorola's latest model could significantly sway customers looking to upgrade their flip phone experience, challenging Samsung's dominance in the market.
