Samsung is set to unveil its latest smartphone, the Galaxy M56, noted for its impressive slim design without sacrificing performance. As technology advances, consumers are increasingly desiring lighter and thinner devices, and the M56 delivers on that front, all while maintaining a robust feature set, including a large battery and fast charging capabilities.

Introducing the Galaxy M56: 30% Thinner than Its Predecessor

Measuring just 7.2mm in thickness and weighing 180g, the Galaxy M56 is the slimmest phone in its category. For comparison, the earlier versions, A56 and M55, measure 7.4mm and 7.8mm respectively while still featuring a 5,000mAh battery and a 6.7” screen.

The M56 boasts a stunning 6.74” Super AMOLED+ display that is not only 33% brighter than its predecessor but also features 36% slimmer bezels. The 1080p+ resolution combined with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate enhances viewing pleasure.

Powered by the Exynos 1480, the M56 delivers excellent performance, equipped with efficient AMD RDNA 2 graphics and Cortex-A78/A55 CPU cores. Although not the latest model, the 4nm chip improves thermal management with a 33% larger vapor chamber compared to the M55.

The device comes with 8GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage. While there’s no word on a microSD slot, it does support dual SIM functionality alongside sub-6GHz 5G technology. Additional connectivity options include USB 2.0 Type-C, Wi-Fi 6 (ax), and Bluetooth 5.3, but it lacks NFC.

Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the Galaxy M56's robust camera setup, featuring a 50MP main camera with OIS capable of 4K video recording, alongside an 8MP ultra-wide and a 2MP macro camera. The front-facing 12MP camera includes Galaxy AI features for enhanced image editing.

The 5,000mAh battery, coupled with 45W charging, allows for sustained usage throughout the day. Although it lacks an official dust and water resistance rating, Samsung has reinforced the M56 with Gorilla Glass Victus+ for improved durability against scratches and falls.

Stylish Color Options for the Galaxy M56

Manufactured in India, the Galaxy M56 promises software support until the end of 2030, providing six OS updates and six years of security patches. It will be available soon in vibrant Light Green and sleek Black.

The Galaxy M56 is set to hit the Indian market on April 23, with a starting price of ₹25,000 (approximately $295/€260). Interested buyers can check it out on Amazon India.
