Realme is set to introduce the GT7 in China on April 23, showcasing cutting-edge technology with the latest Dimensity 9400+ SoC and an impressive 7,000 mAh battery featuring 100W fast wired charging capabilities. However, reports indicate that the version intended for international markets will take a different route.
The international variant of the GT7 is rumored to be powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 9300+, an older chipset compared to the Chinese iteration. This version has emerged in the Geekbench database under the model number RMX5061, which is certified in Indonesia as the GT7.
Speculations suggest that the global GT7 might essentially be a rebranded Realme Neo7, a move that, while not unprecedented for Realme, could lead to notable differences in specifications. If this is true, the international model could feature a 6.78-inch 1264x2780 LTPO AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 6,000 nits, offered with RAM options of 12GB or 16GB and storage options ranging from 256GB to 1TB.
The camera setup is expected to comprise a 50 MP main rear camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), accompanied by an 8 MP ultrawide lens and a 16 MP front-facing camera for selfies. The original Neo7 in China boasts a 7,000 mAh Si/C battery with 80W wired charging, but international customers may see a decrease in battery capacity, a common trend among Chinese smartphone brands recently.
Additionally, the upcoming launch may also see the debut of Realme Buds Air 7 in Malaysia, coinciding with the GT7’s international release. Time will tell how these launches unfold.
