This follows the stable rollout of One UI 7, which met with mixed reactions from fans due to delays. Samsung seems determined to avoid a repeat of these frustrations with the launch of One UI 8.

Reports have indicated that Samsung's internal builds are being tested on the newest Galaxy S25 series. The noticeable sightings of a global version (model number SM-S931B) running One UI 8 were complemented by information from tipster @@tarunvats33, who revealed a One UI 8.0 build designated for the South Korean version of the Galaxy S25 Ultra (SM-S938N).

The Galaxy S25 smartphone originally comes pre-installed with One UI 7.0, which is based on Android 15. However, indications of One UI 8 testing imply that Samsung may be preparing to expedite its release, aiming for compatibility with upcoming devices such as the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. Initially, these foldable models were expected to launch with One UI 7, but a prompt introduction of One UI 8 could help soothe user frustrations regarding software updates.

In April, Samsung started distributing One UI 7 to Galaxy owners in select markets, following a prolonged wait. As anticipation builds for a smoother update experience, fans are hopeful that One UI 8 will be available sooner than later.
