Rumors suggest that the upcoming OnePlus 13T will be the first model to do away with the traditional Alert Slider in favor of a customizable smart button. This new feature is expected to offer more versatility and functionality for users.
According to Li Jie, President of OnePlus China, the OnePlus 13T will come equipped with a new shortcut key that can easily switch between different modes such as Silent, Vibration, and Ringing. Additionally, this smart button will provide access to other features, with OnePlus teasing the introduction of an interesting new function associated with it.
The decision to remove the Alert Slider comes as OnePlus caters to the preferences of its fan base, which apparently favors flat screens on smaller devices. The OnePlus 13T is rumored to sport a compact 6.3” screen size, appealing to those who prefer more manageable phone dimensions.
While specific details about the OnePlus 13T are yet to be officially confirmed, it has been revealed that the device will boast a sizable battery capacity of at least 6,000mAh and weigh 185g. This battery capacity is on par with, or potentially even larger than, that of the OnePlus 13, which features a 6,000mAh battery and weighs 210g.
The OnePlus 13T is set to be unveiled in the coming weeks, although an exact launch date has not been announced.
