Rumors are swirling around Samsung's upcoming flagship, the Galaxy S26 Ultra, suggesting that the tech giant is considering significant design changes to the device. One of the most notable changes may involve removing the S Pen silo from the phone to make room for a larger battery capacity, potentially allowing for a 7000mAh battery if Samsung opts for Silicon-Carbon technology. Additionally, there are speculations about the possibility of employing strong magnets to allow users to magnetically store the S Pen on the device's flat sides, similar to Apple's Apple Pencil feature on the iPad Pro.
Leakers have also hinted at other design modifications, such as retaining the front-facing punch-hole camera instead of incorporating an under-display camera and introducing thinner bezels for a more modern look. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to be unveiled in January 2026, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 with Galaxy application processor.
