Apple recently released the iOS 18.5 beta update to developers, bringing several small refinements to the iPhone experience. While not a groundbreaking update, it sets the stage for the much-anticipated WWDC event in June. With iOS 19 on the horizon, this update serves as a final round of polish before Apple unveils its next big features.
The accompanying Vision Pro and Apple Watch updates in beta form have not introduced any significant changes. According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, Apple is saving its major moves for WWDC, where we can expect to see iOS 19, macOS updates, watchOS improvements, and possibly new announcements related to Apple Intelligence.
Gurman hints at the possibility of Apple Intelligence incorporating region-specific censorship and local services in the upcoming iOS updates. These enhancements may debut in iOS 18.5 or in a subsequent release like iOS 18.6.
