Amazon has unveiled a game-changing new feature called Buy for Me, allowing users to purchase products from other websites through the Amazon Shopping app. This feature is currently in beta and only available to select customers in the US on iOS and Android devices.
With Buy for Me, users can browse and shop for products not directly sold by Amazon, with the platform facilitating the purchase process on third-party websites. Through the use of agentic AI technology, Amazon is able to securely provide users with a seamless shopping experience across multiple online stores.
When searching for products within the Amazon app, users may come across additional options from other stores in a dedicated section of search results labeled "Shop brand sites directly". By selecting the "Buy for Me" option, users can easily make purchases from these external websites through Amazon's platform.
After placing an order using Buy for Me, users will receive an order confirmation from the brand store and can track their order status through the Amazon Shopping app. Delivery, returns, exchanges, and customer service will be handled by the respective brand store, ensuring a seamless shopping experience for users.
