However, the touch input method can be challenging for drivers, particularly when navigating complex traffic situations.

Due to ongoing issues with Google Assistant's functionality on iOS, a Waze representative recently announced the decision to discontinue its integration in favor of a more effective voice interaction solution that will be introduced shortly. According to Leigh from the Waze team on the official Waze discussion forum, the company remains focused on keeping users informed throughout this transition.

In a positive development for Android users, Waze confirmed that Google Assistant will continue to work smoothly on that platform, having already established a good track record. Meanwhile, Waze is set to implement Gemini AI for its iOS users, providing a more intuitive and conversational way to report hazards on the road.

This innovative system will allow drivers to express their observations in a natural way without needing to engage in complicated commands. For instance, should a driver notice an accident, they could simply say, "So this crash is why traffic is such a nightmare," thereby reporting both the crash and the ensuing traffic slowdown in one go.
