A Sunken iPad Breaks a High-Stakes Murder Case

In an astonishing turn of events reminiscent of a Hollywood thriller, a submerged iPad played a pivotal role in unraveling a complex murder investigation. After being submerged in the River Thames for five long years, this seemingly useless electronic device yielded vital evidence that would eventually lead to the arrest of the primary suspect and unravel a web of criminal activity.

The breakthrough came in November 2024, when detectives, following a lead from a witness statement, turned their focus to a segment of the River Thames armed with metal detectors. It was there they discovered the iPad, buried just beneath a layer of sand and muck.

Thanks to the meticulous work of the forensics team, they were able to extract the SIM card from the device; its contents revealed significant connections to both an iPhone and several suspects in the case.
