An AT&T user, known as chezco on Reddit, shared an incredible story about how they almost faced a $3,800 loss due to damages to their two Galaxy Z Fold 5 phones. Thanks to AT&T's Protect Advantage insurance plan, they were able to walk away paying nothing. This plan, provided in collaboration with Asurion, offers impressive services such as unlimited screen repairs, same-day replacements, and more.

Chezco's journey began when their two Galaxy Z Fold 5 devices were mishandled during repair, resulting in worse conditions than before. Turning to Asurion for help, they were pleasantly surprised to receive brand-new, factory-sealed replacements. Get the full story below!

"Protect Advantage is entirely worth it", chezco recounted in their post on the AT&T subforum, detailing the events surrounding the mishaps with their devices, including a Moto Razr+. According to the user, they had opted for AT&T's Protect Advantage insurance, praised for offering free unlimited screen and back glass repairs, quick replacement services, and even unlimited battery replacements.
However, while at a repair shop, the mishandling of their devices resulted in one phone needing a full frame replacement while the other required complete replacement. Luckily, they reached out to Asurion for a resolution. To chezco's satisfaction, the insurance provider responded promptly, sending them a brand-new Galaxy Z Fold 5—factory-sealed and in pristine condition.

The user emphasized the value of their insurance plan, stating, "I paid the group insurance rate to get my 2 folds either repaired or replaced to their original stature. These phones' original cost combined was $3,800. Getting a full frame replacement on one and a complete replacement for the other at a $0 deductible, not to mention my recent RAZR+ replacement? The convenience has been unmatched."
