Vivo has just unveiled its latest smartphone, the V50 Lite 5G, which expands upon the recently launched V50 Lite 4G. This new 5G iteration brings enhancements that tech enthusiasts are bound to appreciate, including a powerful Dimensity 6300 chipset, a vast 6,500mAh battery, and rapid 90W charging capabilities. Let’s delve into what makes this device stand out.

The Vivo V50 Lite 5G

At the heart of the vivo V50 Lite 5G is the Dimensity 6300 processor, which replaces the Snapdragon 685 found in the 4G variant. Users can choose from 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM coupled with either 256GB or 512GB of UFS 2.2 storage, although it lacks a microSD expansion slot.

Dimensity 6300 and RAM

One of the main advantages of the Dimensity chip is its support for 5G connectivity, as well as upgraded Bluetooth (v5.4 compared to v5.0). While vivo hasn't specified the supported Wi-Fi version, it’s most likely Wi-Fi 5 (ac), consistent with the 4G model.

The V50 Lite 5G features a striking 6.77” OLED display boasting a 120Hz refresh rate and a 1080p+ resolution with peak brightness reaching up to 1,800 nits. The device integrates an optical fingerprint reader and comes equipped with a 32MP punch-hole selfie camera.

In terms of photography, the rear camera setup surprises with a 50MP main sensor (Sony IMX882, 1/2.0”) accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide lens. In contrast, the 4G model only included a 2MP auxiliary sensor. Additionally, it features an Aura Light (ring flash) for better illumination in your shots.

Cameras

The V50 Lite is powered by a robust 6,500mAh battery, ensuring longevity and usability. Vivo claims the battery will retain at least 80% health even after five years of use. Users can enjoy up to 10.5 hours of gaming on a full charge, and with the swift 90W charging, it can reach full capacity in just under 53 minutes, or 50% in only 23 minutes.

With an IP65 rating, the phone is resistant to dust and weak water jets. Additionally, its durability is enhanced with “four-corner air-cushion technology,” which adds extra protection against drops.

Unfortunately, there is no headphone jack; however, the phone does offer stereo speakers for an enhanced audio experience.

Color variants

The vivo V50 Lite 5G is currently available in Spain, with a 12/512GB model priced at €400. It comes in several color options like Titanium Gold, Phantom Black (a deep purple), Fantasy Purple (featuring an intriguing feather-like texture), and Silk Green (with a wavy finish).
