Apple enthusiasts are in for a treat as the metal molds for the highly anticipated iPhone 17 series have found their way into the spotlight. Showcased by reputable Apple leakster Sonny Dickson on X, these pre-production molds give us our first detailed glimpse at the upcoming lineup, which includes the iPhone 17 Pro Max (or Ultra?), the iPhone 17 Pro, the iPhone 17 Air, and the standard iPhone 17.
These molds serve an important function, primarily aiding third-party accessory makers in designing compatible cases.
The leaked designs indicate that both the iPhone 17 and 17 Pro models will maintain the same dimensions, standing at 149.6mm tall with a likely 6.3-inch diagonal screen. The new iPhone 17 Air, however, will be taller at 156mm, featuring a more noticeable camera bump, as speculated due to its expected slimmer profile.
As the largest model, the iPhone 17 Pro Max dominates the lineup.
Each of the four models includes MagSafe technology on the back, alongside a consistent button layout comprising two volume buttons and a Mute Switch on the left, while the right side features an Action Button and a Camera Control key.
