Update: For Chromecast owners who made the decision to reset their devices, Google has issued a new update. Users are required to update the Google Home app to the latest version (3.30.1.6 for Android and 3.30.106 for iOS) in order to set up their Chromecast (2nd gen) or Chromecast Audio device again.
The rollout of this new update may take several days, so while the deployment starts today, it may not be available to everyone immediately. Keep an eye on the Google Play Store or the App Store for the latest version.
