AirPods Set to Introduce Real-Time Translation Feature, Rivalling Pixel Buds
In a significant move to enhance their product capabilities, Apple’s AirPods are reportedly on the verge of receiving a groundbreaking feature that has been a staple of Google Pixel Buds for several years. This upcoming addition will allow users to engage in real-time translation during conversations, making communication across language barriers smoother than ever before.
As per insider information, the real-time translation feature will be available with the upcoming iOS 19 update. Though not officially announced by Apple yet, sources suggest that this development is well underway. The feature is expected to operate seamlessly: for instance, an English speaker in conversation with a Spanish speaker will hear the Spanish dialogue translated to English through their AirPods, while their spoken words are conveyed in Spanish to the other party via their iPhone.
Incorporating this translation function will mark one of the most significant updates to Apple’s software ecosystem in recent years, alongside a comprehensive redesign of macOS. Moreover, additional enhancements to Apple's translation technology are anticipated with the launch of iOS 19, enhancing the overall user experience.
