Oppo Unveils Impressive Camera Sensors for Find X8 Ultra

Oppo is set to debut its Find X8 Ultra smartphone next month, boasting a highly advanced camera configuration that promises to elevate mobile photography. Today, Zhou Yibao, a key executive at Oppo, provided a sneak peek of the phone's camera sensors, revealing an innovative setup that we can look forward to. With four distinct camera modules highlighted, the anticipation for this flagship device continues to build.

Take a look at the showcased camera sensors:

Oppo Find X8 Ultra Camera Sensors

Beginning at the 12 o’clock position, we identify a robust 3x telephoto camera, likely featuring the Sony IMX906 sensor. Moving to 3 o’clock, we see the Sony IMX882, a notable 50 MP sensor that offers an impressive 6x optical zoom via a periscope lens.

At the 6 o’clock mark, there’s another Sony IMX882 with a 50 MP ultra-wide camera, while the 9 o’clock position showcases the 1"-type Sony LYT-900, which is also rated at 50 MP. It’s important to note that while these sensors appear in the leaks, their exact specifications have yet to be confirmed officially.

Additionally, there’s an intriguing new sensor positioned slightly apart from the main configuration: a spectral image sensor located at the bottom right. This sensor is designed to enhance the accuracy of color representation and skin tones during portrait photography, especially in challenging low-light situations.

The Oppo Find X8 Ultra is anticipated to launch alongside other models including the Find X8 Next and the slimmer Find X8S. Unfortunately, these devices may remain exclusive to the Chinese market, leaving international fans wanting more.
