T-Mobile is taking proactive steps to enhance its security framework following previous breaches. The carrier has introduced a mandatory registration process with CLEAR, a trusted identity verification platform. While the aim is to bolster data protection for both customers and staff, the new policy has led to frustration among employees, who feel overwhelmed by the added requirements.

T-Mobile is trying to prevent another security breach by implementing various measures involving both customers and employees. One of the latest initiatives has left many employees feeling frustrated due to its stringent requirements. T-Mobile now mandates its employees to register their identity with CLEAR, “an identity company” that specializes in secure verification checks.

T-Mobile's internal document mentions that employees must use only their own YubiKey, phone number, and email when enrolling in CLEAR. Furthermore, the enrollment deadline was set for March 1. After completing the registration, employees will benefit from CLEAR’s passwordless authentication system, designed to safeguard both employee and customer data. T-Mobile chose CLEAR to protect its database from potential security breaches:
