In a bold move to attract new customers, AT&T has launched a new promotional offer aimed at undercutting T-Mobile’s recently introduced “Carrier Freedom” program. This innovative initiative is designed to entice users to switch carriers by providing them with better incentives and more flexibility.
AT&T is rolling out its latest promotion as a direct response to T-Mobile’s Carrier Freedom upgrade, which aims to lure customers to its services. AT&T’s offer, dubbed "Switch and Save," appears to enhance T-Mobile's original concept by adding more compelling features and benefits for those considering a switch.
AT&T’s promotion invites customers to explore the new Switch and Save website and discover the various options available. Notably, one key requirement is that you must have completed at least four payments on your current phone’s installment plan before making the switch. Customers can either pay for their device in full, opt for financing through AT&T, or bring their own compatible phone to the network.

AT&T is offering up to $800 per line to help pay off users’ current contracts, making the switching process financially attractive. Unlike T-Mobile’s Carrier Freedom promotion, which has a limit of four lines, AT&T allows customers to receive the rebate card for up to 10 lines. Customers benefit from the flexibility of AT&T’s program since it does not require them to trade in their devices for a new model. While T-Mobile’s Carrier Freedom binds customers to a new financing agreement, AT&T offers the choice to finance a new device, buy one outright, or simply transfer their existing phone to their new plan.
