Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge Confirmed for May Launch with Pricing Details
The anticipation surrounding Samsung's latest flagship smartphone continues to build as the company gears up for the release of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge. With expected unveiling events set for April, details regarding its pricing and features are now coming to light. As tech enthusiasts eagerly await its debut, the S25 Edge appears poised to offer an enticing blend of cutting-edge technology and stylish design.
The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is slated for release in May, with the following pricing insights revealed after conversion from Korean Won to U.S. Dollars:
- 256 GB variant priced at $1,031
- 512 GB variant priced at $1,120
Notably, the S25 Edge will not include a 1 TB model. Based on these prices, it stands as the second most expensive model in the S25 lineup, trailing only the Galaxy S25 Ultra. However, the question of its perceived value and how Samsung's customer base will react remains open for discussion.
The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, touted as the flagship of the series, has certainly set high expectations for its sibling. The S25 Edge, despite its elegant and slim profile measuring at just 5.84 mm, appears to make concessions in some specifications, such as having no telephoto lens. However, it is reported to feature what Samsung describes as an “Ultra camera,” potentially equipped with a striking 200 MP lens, similar to that of the S25 Ultra.
Targeting a market that values aesthetics, alongside performance, the S25 Edge competes directly with the iPhone 17 Air. While it may represent a daring choice to sacrifice some technical capabilities for a more streamlined design, the decision raises questions about whether the advantages will outweigh the compromises for discerning consumers.
