Honor Magic8 Series Set for Screen Size Reduction: Key Details Revealed

Source: Date:

Honor has consistently innovated in the smartphone market, and with the anticipated launch of the Magic8 series, excitement is building once again. Following the successful roll-out of the Magic7 and Magic7 Pro last October, rumors suggest that Honor is gearing up for yet another release, potentially in October of this year. A fascinating change is on the horizon, particularly with the Magic8's screen specifications.

According to recent reports from China, it appears that the screen size of the upcoming Magic8 will see a reduction, moving from 6.78 inches to 6.59 inches. Despite this size cut, the device will maintain its display quality with a resolution tagged as "1.5K," typical for Honor devices. It features a LIPO OLED display complemented by a 120 Hz refresh rate, ensuring a smooth visual experience.

One of the standout elements of the display is its remarkably narrow bezels, measuring under 1mm on all sides, which would set a new industry benchmark. Adding to the appeal, the Magic8 will sport a flat screen, a design choice that aligns with current trends favored by Chinese smartphone manufacturers.

While these are the main details currently available, if past trends hold, we can also anticipate that the Magic8 will be equipped with Qualcomm's next-generation flagship SoC, possibly the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2.
