Tecno Unveils the Lightweight Megabook S14 with Snapdragon X Elite Processor and Optional GPU Dock
Tecno continues to innovate in the tech landscape, following the recent launches of the Camon 40 series and AI smart glasses. The spotlight is now on their latest laptop offering, the Tecno Megabook S14. This ultra-portable device is designed for those seeking a combination of performance and portability with a weight of just 899g (1.98lbs).
The Megabook S14 boasts impressive specifications, particularly with its Snapdragon X Elite (X1E-80-100) variant. This 12-core chip features a custom Qualcomm CPU design, running up to 3.4GHz with multiple cores and 4.0GHz when utilizing two cores. The integrated Adreno GPU delivers an impressive performance of up to 3.8 TFLOPS, while the Hexagon NPU supports AI tasks with up to 45 TOPS.

The S14 also caters to traditional x86 users, offering Intel Core Ultra chips from the 5th and 7th generation (models 255H, 225H, 155H, and 125H). Regardless of the chipset chosen, users will experience high-performance computing backed by LPDDR5 RAM and a 512GB NVMe SSD (PCIe Gen 4), all while running Windows 11.
Equipped with a stunning 14” OLED display, the Megabook S14 features a resolution of 2,800 x 1,600 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The laptop includes a light sensor for automatic brightness adjustments and dual 2W DTS:X Ultra speakers for an immersive audio experience.
Measuring 313 x 214 x 14.2mm and equipped with a 50Wh battery, it supports a rapid 65W charging via USB-C. Tecno claims up to 16 hours of battery life on a single charge. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6E, along with a fingerprint reader for enhanced security.
Moreover, Tecno is introducing an External Graphics Dock featuring a powerful Nvidia graphics card, specifically designed to boost gaming and content creation capabilities, although further details about the GPU model are yet to be revealed.

Additionally, the Megabook S14 incorporates Tecno's first on-device AI model, featuring the Ella AI assistant. This assistant can conduct image searches, create albums automatically, transcribe recorded meetings (offline), and assist users in generating PowerPoint presentations.
