TCL has officially launched its latest smartphones in the 60 series at MWC, introducing two entry-level variants: the TCL 60 SE Nxtpaper 5G and the TCL 60 R 5G. Designed to cater to budget-conscious consumers, these devices boast impressive features that enhance usability and performance.

TCL 60 SE Nxtpaper 5G • TCL 60 R 5G
The TCL 60 SE offers a 6.7" HD+ display with a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate. Its Nxtpaper 4.0 screen is equipped with an anti-glare coating and includes three eye-care modes, one of which, Max Ink Mode, allows up to seven days of reading thanks to its low power consumption.
Powering the 60 SE is a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, along with AI features in collaboration with Microsoft. The camera setup includes a 50 MP main sensor paired with a 5 MP secondary lens. This model is available with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage at a price of €189, targeting consumers in Europe, Asia Pacific, and Latin America.
In addition to the Nxtpaper variant, TCL will also release a more basic version of the 60 SE without the Nxtpaper technology and powered by an LTE chipset, with pricing and availability still to be announced.

The TCL 60 R shares similar display specifications with a 6.7" HD+ resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate but omits the Nxtpaper features. Instead, it integrates Nxturbo technology for quicker app launching and smoother navigation.

This device is also powered by the Dimensity 6300, featuring a 50 MP primary camera and an 8 MP front-facing camera, alongside a robust 5,200 mAh battery. Notably, it also includes enhanced splash resistance—an appealing characteristic for budget smartphone enthusiasts.

The TCL 60 R 5G comes with 4 GB of RAM (expandable to 12 GB) and 128 GB of internal storage. Priced at €119, it is set to reach markets in Europe, Asia Pacific, and Latin America.
