During the Mobile World Congress 2025, Tecno made headlines with the debut of its innovative smartphone camera technology: the SpectraVision Camera. This new 2 MP color-rendering sensor is engineered to deliver stunning, lifelike colors that promise to revolutionize mobile photography.
At the heart of this technology is a 9-channel spectral sensor, enabling it to capture a wider spectrum of light and produce richer color details compared to conventional camera solutions that use just 4-channel RGGB and RYYB setups. With the aid of an advanced in-house algorithm, Tecno claims that the SpectraVision Camera significantly enhances color accuracy, surpassing previous standards.
Furthermore, Tecno introduced its Tecno Imaging Matrix technology (TIM), designed to achieve exceptional precision in color restoration that mimics human vision, even under challenging lighting conditions. This advancement in camera technology is complemented by the Tecno Universal Tone algorithm, focused on accurately representing skin tones in photographs.
While Tecno has yet to disclose which smartphone will be the first to feature the 2 MP SpectraVision Camera, anticipation builds for an announcement during the upcoming launch of the Camon 40 series.
