In an exciting development for tech enthusiasts, Samsung has unveiled its latest entries into the competitive M-series, the Galaxy M06 5G and M16 5G, in India. Although these models bear new names, they are essentially refreshed versions of existing Galaxy A and F-series devices, bringing familiar specifications under a new branding.

The Galaxy M16 5G stands out with its 6.7-inch AMOLED display (FHD+ 90Hz), powered by the Dimensity 6300 chipset, and supported by a robust 5,000 mAh battery with 25W wired charging. Its design features a rear camera setup that integrates the lenses into a streamlined island rather than separate cutouts. Photographers will appreciate the 50MP main camera, accompanied by a 5MP ultra-wide and a 2MP macro lens. The device runs on One UI 7, based on Android 15, with promising support from Samsung, providing 6 years of Android OS updates and security patches.

Available in appealing colors like Blush Pink, Mint Green, and Thunder Black, the Galaxy M16 5G is priced starting at INR 11,499 ($132), with sales commencing on March 5.
On the other hand, the Galaxy M06 5G, a rebadged Galaxy F06 5G, introduces only minor cosmetic changes, available in Sage Green and Blazing Black. This device supports up to 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage, running on One UI Core 7.0 based on Android 15. Samsung is also committing to 4 generations of Android updates and 4 years of security support for this model.

The Galaxy M06 5G has a starting price of INR 9,499 ($109), with open sales scheduled to launch on March 7.
