Apple's Find My network faces serious vulnerabilities. | Image Credit - Apple A group of researchers from George Mason University has revealed a significant security flaw in Apple's Find My network that could enable malicious users to covertly track Bluetooth-enabled devices. This exploit allows hackers to transform standard devices, such as smartphones, laptops, and gaming consoles, into unauthorized tracking tools, mimicking the functionality of Apple's AirTag without the owner's consent. By deceiving the Find My network into believing these devices are legitimate AirTags, hackers gain the ability to track their movements inconspicuously. Although Apple has acknowledged the researchers' findings, the company has not yet implemented a fix or provided details on how they plan to address this serious security threat.
