The highly anticipated Xiaomi 15 Ultra is set to be officially unveiled in China tomorrow, alongside the SU7 Ultra EV, with a global launch scheduled for March 2. As part of the pre-launch excitement, Xiaomi has released an official teardown video showcasing the intricate design and impressive camera features of the device.
Although the video is in Chinese, it provides a detailed look at the smartphone, specifically highlighting its remarkable camera capabilities.
One of the standout features of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is its 200 MP periscope telephoto camera, which utilizes Samsung's cutting-edge ISOCELL HP9 sensor—previously seen in the vivo X100 Ultra and expected in the upcoming vivo X200 Ultra. To enhance image quality, Xiaomi has incorporated a specially crafted 24-layer ultra-low reflection glass, which reportedly reduces reflectivity to as low as 1.5% and boosts scratch resistance.
Additionally, the main camera continues to utilize a 1" type sensor, consistent with its predecessors, while rumors suggest the device will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, promising high performance.
