Galaxy S25 Features Potentially Missing in One UI 7.0 for Older Galaxy Devices

Source: Date:
Samsung is set to roll out the One UI 7.0 update for older devices, bringing a host of features inspired by the state-of-the-art Galaxy S25. However, certain high-end features may not be included in this upgrade, leaving some users disappointed. Notably, the ability to record video in 10-bit HLG HDR and utilize natural language search in the Gallery app might not be available on older Galaxy S series smartphones. While the information comes from Tarun Vats, whose reliability is yet to be established, it’s prudent to consider these possibilities before getting too excited about the update.

Galaxy S25 series smartphones will have the capability to shoot videos in 10-bit color depth and HDR in the HLG format. In contrast, the Galaxy S23 series can only record 10-bit HDR videos using the HDR10+ mode and lacks support for HLG. Though this feature caters to a niche audience, it might not be a dealbreaker for casual users who rely on standard camera functionalities.

One UI 7.0 does include the Natural Language Search feature in the Gallery app, suggesting a possibility it may reach its final release.
