Verizon's Struggles with Robocall Protection Leave Customers Vulnerable

Source: Date:
According to a report from last year, a staggering 92 percent of Americans have reported receiving spam calls, while 86 percent have been inundated with spam texts. Disturbingly, over 56 million individuals who received these unwanted calls ended up losing money as a result. In a recent evaluation of U.S. phone companies, Verizon found itself near the bottom, ranking 11th out of 14 providers in terms of protections against robocalls. Alarmingly, half of the companies assessed received grades of D or F regarding these critical protective services. Verizon achieved an F grade in Services and a D overall, in stark contrast to T-Mobile, which scored a C for Services and a B overall. It's concerning that many of the nation's leading carriers seem to be indifferent to their customers' safety. Meanwhile, AT&T was one of the top performers with an A in Services and a B overall, ranking 3rd among carriers, while the top two spots produced surprising results.
