YouTube Introduces Budget-Friendly "Premium Lite" Plan in the US and Beyond

Source: Date:
YouTube is set to unveil its new “Premium Lite” subscription plan, aimed at providing users with a more affordable alternative to the standard YouTube Premium. As reported by Bloomberg, this option will initially launch in four markets: the United States, Australia, Germany, and Thailand. YouTube Premium currently costs $13.99 monthly in the US, but the Lite version is expected to be significantly less expensive, especially since it will not include access to YouTube Music Premium, which is priced at $10.99 separately. Offering ad-free viewing for most videos, YouTube Premium has become increasingly popular, and the introduction of a Lite version is part of the company’s strategy to reach a broader audience. "We’re hoping to expand this offering to even more users in the future with our partners’ support,” a representative stated.
