HP has finalized a deal to acquire Humane for $116 million, including access to Humane's CosmOS AI platform, over 300 patents, and technical staff. As a result of the acquisition, Humane's Ai Pin will be discontinued next week, with all server connections ceasing on February 28.
Users of the Ai Pin are advised to back up their data before the cut-off date, as all device functionality will be affected. Subscriptions tied to T-Mobile data coverage will be automatically canceled, with refunds offered for purchases within the return window.
On the other hand, HP plans to integrate Humane's technology and talent into its own operations, with a focus on implementing the CosmOS platform across various devices and expanding AI innovation initiatives.
