Rumored iPhone SE 4 Could Offer Surprising Base Storage Options

Source: Date:

Apple is set to unveil the highly-anticipated iPhone SE 4 on February 19, according to recent announcements from CEO Tim Cook. With a starting price of $499, the new smartphone may come with a surprisingly low base storage option of 64GB, as indicated by a leaked listing from a Chinese retailer.

Rumors suggest that the iPhone SE 4 will be available in three storage configurations, including 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB. This move by Apple to potentially offer a lower base storage option could be a strategy to maintain profit margins, despite the increasing standard of 128GB base storage in many Android mid-range devices.

If the leaked information is accurate, consumers may need to pay an additional $100 for each storage upgrade, making the 128GB model priced at $599 and the 256GB at $699. This pricing structure could position Apple's iPhone SE 4 in a different competitive bracket compared to upcoming mid-range options such as Google's Pixel 9a.

In addition to the storage options, the iPhone SE 4 is rumored to feature a design similar to the iPhone 14, the powerful A18 chip, 8GB of RAM across all versions, and the inclusion of Face ID.
