At its recent Unpacked event, Samsung gave a sneak peek at the upcoming Galaxy S25 Edge, boasting a remarkably slim profile that is set to redefine lightweight smartphones. Renowned leakster Ice Universe has confirmed that the S25 Edge will weigh in at less than 160 grams, making it lighter than its predecessor, the Galaxy S25, which weighs 162 grams.
According to another trusted leaker, Max Jambor, the Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to launch in the second quarter of the year, closely aligning with previously reported timelines pointing to an April release.

This would mark the first time in over six years that Samsung has introduced a flagship smartphone this lightweight, harking back to the Galaxy S10 which weighed just 157 grams. As smartphones increasingly trend towards heavier models, with mid-range devices often exceeding these weights, the S25 Edge stands out.
Beyond its weight, the Galaxy S25 Edge is anticipated to incorporate two cameras, omitting a significant periscope lens. The design is also expected to bypass complex cooling systems and utilize a plastic frame, both of which should help reduce weight further and lower manufacturing expenses.
