Excitement is building as the official unveiling of the Google Pixel 9a approaches, set for March 19. Pre-orders will kick off on the same day, with the phone hitting the shelves on March 26, according to various leaks and rumors.
Recent leaks have showcased a variety of official cases for the Pixel 9a, which will come in colors reflecting the phone’s options: Obsidian (black), Porcelain (white), Iris (purple), and Peony (pink).

These cases highlight a shift in design, departing from the traditional 'camera visor' that previous models have featured. Instead, users will notice a more streamlined appearance, featuring an off-center camera island on the back.

Adding to the intrigue, renowned leaker Evan Blass shared a previously released image that revealed the Pixel 9a’s front design. Although he has since removed it, the image indicated a slightly thinner bottom bezel compared to the Pixel 8a, but still fairly substantial by current mid-range standards.
Rumors suggest that the Pixel 9a will be powered by the Tensor G4 SoC and feature an impressive 5,100 mAh battery—the largest capacity to date for a Pixel phone. Users can also expect a 6.28-inch OLED display with peak brightness reaching 2,700 nits, paired with 8GB of RAM and a dual-camera setup that includes a 48 MP main sensor and a 13 MP ultrawide lens.
