Next week, the market will witness the launch of the world’s thinnest foldable phone. This innovation from Oppo is designed to redefine user experience, measuring under 4mm when unfolded. Impressively, the OnePlus Open 2 will be thinner than the iPad Pro M4 (2024), which measures 5.1mm, and significantly slimmer than an iPhone. In fact, its thickness will be comparable to that of a USB-C port. Oppo highlights a significant feature upgrade: the inclusion of wireless charging in the OnePlus Open 2, which stands out against competitors like the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Pixel 9 Pro Fold that are limited to 15W and 7.5W charging speeds, respectively. Furthermore, users can expect notable enhancements in the camera department, including a triple 50 MP rear camera setup and front cameras featuring 32 MP and 20 MP, alongside a much-anticipated telephoto macro capability. The arrival of the OnePlus Open 2 is set to elevate the foldable smartphone experience, positioning it as a leading option in its category.
