In a significant design shift for its upcoming flagship, the Oppo Find X8 Ultra, Oppo is set to replace the traditional alert slider with an innovative Apple-style Action Button. This change, first reported by well-known leaker Digital Chat Station, marks a departure from the previous models, including the Find N3 Flip and Find X8 series, which prominently featured the alert slider. The new button is expected to offer users more customization options for quick actions.

The launch of the Find X8 Ultra, initially anticipated for February, has been pushed to March according to the latest leaks. Users can look forward to a flat display design, a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, a robust 6,000 mAh battery, and impressive 100W wired charging capability, all housed within an IP68/69 certified body.
The camera specifications for the Find X8 Ultra are also exciting, with a continuation of the 1-inch LYT-900 sensor used in the Find X7 Ultra for the main camera and a 50MP IMX882 for the ultrawide shot. Upgrades are expected for the two telephoto lenses: a better 50MP IMX906 (Lytia LYT-701) sensor for the 3x periscope and a 50MP IMX882 sensor for the 6x periscope, enhancing capabilities beyond what was offered by previous models.
