Users are encouraged to check for updates through the Fitbit app, where those impacted will receive alerts about the firmware availability. Additionally, it's crucial for customers to submit a request to receive their credit, which may take up to a week to process. Customers have until January 21, 2026, to register for this program, as it will no longer be available after that date.
