iPhone 17, or at least its camera island and sides, have surfaced in newly leaked images that reveal a distinctive new design. Reports dating back to November suggested that the iPhone 17 Pro could incorporate a fresh aesthetic, which has been echoed by further rumors. One notable leak from the supply chain hinted at a horizontal camera bar.
Notably, a user by the name of Majin Bu shared an image depicting what may be two prototypes of the iPhone 17 featuring the innovative camera bar. These models appear to sport a single-camera system, supporting expectations that they represent the iPhone 17 Air, the only variant anticipated to have just one rear camera.

There have been mixed opinions on whether Apple will proceed with this revamped design. Speculations also suggest that Apple may have considered a larger rectangular camera bump for its future flagship models.
Although the latest photos released online are rather indistinct, if they indeed depict the iPhone 17 Air, it would be interesting to see the device from all angles, especially since it is rumored to be a mere 5.5mm thick. For comparison, the current iPhone 16 measures 7.8mm.
This newly anticipated thickness and design signify a major shift in Apple's approach, which could be exceptionally exciting for fans awaiting the next iteration of the iPhone.
Additionally, rumors suggest that the new devices, especially the Pro models, may feature a smaller Dynamic Island and revamped side rail designs. Apple's official announcement for the series is expected to occur in September.
